Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Location: Richmond, VA 23219
What will you do?
- The incumbent will support senior scientists with method development and validation for Flavors and ingredients in tobacco and non-tobacco related matrices.
- The incumbent will support and perform routine and non-routine testing for tobacco and non-tobacco products including: sample preparation, instrumental analysis, and data review.
- The incumbent will perform analysis on a wide range of product types utilizing common extraction techniques and analytical instrumentation.
Desired Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology or closely related field with demonstrated experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory.
- A minimum of 1-3 years laboratory experience working with GC/MS, HPLC, UPLC and/or LC/MS instrumentation for analysis of analytes in complex matrices. General working experience with GC/MS and HPLC/UPLC systems is required, and working experience with LC/MS systems is preferred.
- Experience with sample preparation and extraction techniques (LL, SPE, etc.) for the quantitative analysis of target compounds in complex matrices.
