JOB TITLE: CX IT Support
DEPARTMENT: Public CX IT

JOB LOCATION: Sulphur Springs, TX
TRAVEL: up to 10%
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure & System Administration
- Administer IBM i Series Power 8, 9, and 10 servers, including upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Manage user accounts, system permissions, and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
Network & Security Operations
- Configure and manage FortiGate firewalls and FortiSwitches to maintain secure, high-performing networks.
- Develop and enforce access controls and security policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Virtualization & System Optimization
- Maintain VMware environments, handling provisioning, performance tuning, and updates.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery across virtualized systems.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Design and manage enterprise backup strategies using NAS solutions.
- Perform regular testing of disaster recovery and failover procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Optimize storage solutions for backups, archiving, and operational use.
Support & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary technical support lead across all organizational sites.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Develop user training materials and documentation to promote adoption of best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident response.
- Deliver reports on infrastructure performance, security posture, and project progress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- 5 years of hands-on experience managing IBM iSeries servers (Power 8, 9, and 10 preferred).
- Ability to travel between the main office, SSPD data center, and franklin county PD as needed.
- On-call availability for emergencies and critical system maintenance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with VMware, FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, and NAS solutions in a hosted or multi-site environment.
