SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We’re seeking an Sr. Business Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between stakeholders and software engineering teams, ensuring that software product features are clearly defined, documented, and translated into user stories/requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead stakeholder collaboration to define and document software requirements, user stories, and journey mapping.
- Develop and refine detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to align with business objectives.
- Drive alignment on project goals through workshops, interviews, and strategic discussions.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Partner with UI/UX teams to refine user experiences through wireframing and prototyping.
- Contribute to backlog management, prioritization, and progress tracking in Jira (or similar tools).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, workflows, and knowledge bases in Confluence.
- Serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are met and requirement traceability is maintained.
- Validate deliverables through UAT to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- Experience in business analysis or technical writing within software development.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
- Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation.
- Proficient in Jira or like for task and project management.
- Skilled in Confluence or like for documentation and knowledge management.
- Excellent communication skills, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7 years as a Business Analyst or similar role in software development.
- Experience with court-specific or case management systems.
- Proficient in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
- Familiar with API integrations, data mapping, and system workflows.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CJIS, FedRAMP, NIEM, NODS).
- Experience creating user acceptance criteria and conducting manual release testing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
