Pathology Grossing Technologist - Day Shift
Compensation : $79,000 - $119,000 annually.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pathology Grossing Technologist to join our Anatomic Pathology team. This full-time, day shift position is Monday-Friday, 12 pm-8 pm (varied), and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. About the Role :
As a Pathology Grossing Technologist, you will be responsible for the gross examination and dissection of pathology biopsy specimens and other simple specimens under the supervision of a pathologist. Your meticulous work will play a crucial role in accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately dictate gross descriptions following established protocols and templates, including all relevant details (color, measurements, number of pieces, shape, weight).
- Review gross descriptions for accuracy and completeness.
- Obtain and apply relevant clinical information to the analysis and interpretation of biopsy cases.
- Ensure proper specimen accessioning and reconcile labeling of containers, blocks, and requisitions.
- Accession surgical pathology cases into the LIS.
- Download and print cassettes for surgical specimens.
- Enter block information into the LIS.
- Load tissue cassettes into tissue processors and change reagents as needed.
- Perform frozen sections, including staining and cover slipping, as required.
