What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Volleyball Referee position at i9 Sports East Orange County?
Position:
Saturdays: 8am-3pm at Luminary Middle School
Sundays 12pm-6pm at either Avalon Middle School or South Creek Middle School
Our programs are not affiliated with the OCPS Schools where games are played. Do not call the schools. Schedules are flexible.
Being a great i9 Sports® official is more than just calling the games fairly and within the i9 Sports rules and age-appropriate guidelines, it’s teaching the players why the calls are made. This starts with providing the i9 Sports Experience in every facet of what you do.
- Understand the rules: Knowing and implementing the rules is an easy yet essential part of being a great official.
- Culture cultivator : Keep everything positive! In order to change a negative behavior, you have to first set the example by staying friendly and positive at all times.
- On-field coach: As an on-field/court coach your goal should be to help the players, coaches and families exemplify what i9 Sports is about. To do this, enforce a “same team” mentality and strive to work with everyone together.
- Keep games on time: We promote convenience to our families and a prompt start and effective clock management are a big component of this.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
