Position Summary:
Creates and implements quality enrichment curriculum to Homeschool PE participants. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on youth development, including the i9 Sports Sportsmanship Values: Respect, Integrity, Positivity, Enthusiasm, Leadership, Teamwork, and Determination
Essential Functions:
- Program Quality: Creates, designs and implements enrichment lessons/activity plans for both formal and informal play for both indoor and outdoor activities within the established guidelines that demonstrates content expertise, knowledge and skill in specialty.
- Leadership: Supervises children under the direction of the Area Developer. Acts as a role model to participants by exemplifying great leadership and patience with participants. Will also serve as the primary contact for all parents of the Homeschool PE program, communicating schedules, lesson plans as needed, and any additional information that needs to be provided.
- Daily Operations: Is responsible for the set-up and breakdown of activities/equipment and cleaning of the program area. Adheres to the i9 Sports program standards.
- Relationship Building: Maintains positive relations with children, parents, staff, and other points of contact. Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings and staff trainings.
- Child Abuse Prevention: Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. Follows mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements. Ensures youth are properly signed in and signed out, ensures only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc. Adheres to policies related to boundaries with each child. Ensures unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitors high-risk locations (bathrooms), etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with certification or license in specialty/subject matter.
- At least 18 years of age.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
- Experience/expertise in an enrichment area; certification may be required.
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally-appropriate program activities.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with degree, certification, or license in specialty/subject matter.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
