Our IA NYC Studio is currently hiring for the position of Design Director. In this role, you are responsible for providing a clear vision and direction for the studio’s design output. You will partner with clients and project teams to elevate design in all markets ranging from hospitality to workplace, and you’ll foster a culture of design excellence throughout the practice.

Job Responsibilities
- Establishes rapport with clients, develops project vision and understands client goals for performance, budget and schedule.
- Leads design presentations for key projects and accounts.
- Monitors team design output for all clients, coordinating with PM and design / technical teams to ensure design and furniture deliverables are aligned with client goals.
- Leads creation of space plans, design deliverables and furniture packages for key projects and accounts.
- Mentors and develops the design team. Oversees deliverables and provides feedback on work product. Together with studio leadership, leads key training and team-building exercises.
- Maintains strong industry and client relationships. Together with studio leadership, identifies opportunities for business development and new project pursuits.
- Together with design and marketing teams, leads project photography efforts.
- Fosters internal relationships across the firm, ensuring that design deliverables are aligned with best practices firmwide.
