We are looking to hire a Clinical Therapist for Psychiatric Services Unit. As a Clinical Therapist for Psychiatric Services Unit at MercyOne, you will be Consistent with the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of Professional Licensure Standards, the Psychiatric Unit Therapist is a member of the MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center multi-disciplinary treatment team and is accountable for the delivery of holistic, compassionate, individualized, and effective care demonstrated using the core functions of practice associated in a clinical role. Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; M - F General Requirements: Demonstrate ethical conduct and practice consistent with the American Counselor Association (ACA) or National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. Contribute to the positive image of counseling practice and enhance the magnetic culture of the organization by modeling professional behavior both in the organization and in the community. Serve as a teacher, mentor, and coach to patients, students, new nurses, peers, other colleagues, and staff. Education: Master’s Degree: LMHC or LISW preferred, will consider LMSW (Supervision available). Field of Study: Social Work or Psychology Licenses/Registration: Licensure in the state of Iowa Excellent communication, listening and writing skills. Solid understanding of behavioral health disorders and symptoms in the DSM 5.
