As a Nutrition Service Worker at MercyOne, you will prepare patient trays; serves patients and visitors in café, or assigned dining area; washes dishes, including pots and pans; cleans assigned work areas; puts away stock; set up service and special functions. In addition, they may operate the cash register, following proper cash procedures and the serve in the role of transporter. Assembles patient trays according to appropriate diet. Serves patients and visitors in café or dining area as assigned. Performs dishwashing duties, wash pots and pans and clean work areas. Puts away stock following safety guidelines. Set-up/serve special functions. May operates cash register, following proper cash procedures. Maintains accurate, balanced change bank when working cafeteria. Understands and demonstrates the proper use and care and maintenance all dietary equipment and supplies, continually learning new technology. Observes proper sanitary techniques. Transport meals to other sites. Schedule: 11:30 am – 8:00 pm; Every other weekend; holiday rotation General Requirements: Must be able to read and understand labels, production orders, and storeroom set-up. Must have the ability to learn special diets. Must have valid Driver’s License. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
