About the role
At Illinois Farm Bureau the Director, Treasury Ops directs the banking activities of COUNTRY Financial, Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB), and assigned affiliates. In addition, they will serve as a key thought partner to executive leadership and business unit leaders, oversee securities settlements, assist with risk management and perform financial analysis. They will be responsible for directing operations of areas that provide employee services, printing operations, and mail services to the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) Family of Companies and oversee department staffing to ensure efficient operations.How does this role make an impact?
- Oversees, analyzes and coordinates banking activities and cash management functions. Directs electronic payments and collections. Manages the cash position to minimize idle funds and schedule short-term investment maturities to meet investment and other corporate commitments.
- Fosters positive relationships with banking and financial institutions.
- Performs financial analysis and forecasts, interprets financial information, prepares reports, and provides information and counsel to the IAA Board of Directors, relevant committees and other entities, as requested.
- Establishes policies, procedures, systems and controls to ensure regulatory compliance, maximize efficiencies and minimize risk.
- Provides supervisory leadership for assigned staff, including employment, training, supervision, support and ongoing performance feedback.
- Monitors securities settlement for the COUNTRY Financial group. Monitors performance of the securities lending program. Serves as liaison between custodians and various stakeholders.
- Provides financial projections to county Farm Bureaus (CFBs) and recommends solutions to financial issues upon request. Provides training on such topics as investment strategies and understanding financial statements.
- Develops programs to analyze and project financial, membership, and statistical data for the IAA and affiliated companies. Analyzes financial statements to determine trends. Provides financial and credit information to outside agencies as appropriate.
- Exercises professional leadership by keeping abreast of current trends, developments, technology and opportunities within field of responsibility.
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Must possess or be working toward Certified Treasury Professional designation.
- CPA designation or similar professional credential preferred.
- Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, telecommunications and financial systems.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, including strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions affecting the movement of large sums of money while safeguarding the assets of the companies.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to develop and motivate others, resolve conflict, delegate effectively and lead change.
- Ability to organize efficiently, establish priorities and attend to details.
- Typically requires 12 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training, including management experience.
Base Pay Range:
$149,200-$205,150The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
