What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst - Employer Services position at IAM National Pension Fund?
The IAM National Pension Fund (the “Fund”) is conducting a search for an Analyst for the Employer Services Department. The purpose of the Analyst is to perform detailed and analytical functions relating to the participations of companies in both the National Pension Plan and the IAM National 401(k) Plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (The listing below is not meant to include all the duties of the position, nor do all listed examples include all tasks which may be required of the position.)
· Analyzes Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), 401K Agreements, standard contract language, and model adoption language required by bargaining parties that participate in the National Pension Plan and/or IAM National 401(k) Plan (“Fund”); reviews documents to determine compliance with Plan Rules and to determine changes to Company name, address, etc., and updates Benefit Administration System accordingly
· Processes New Employer Acceptance packages and pursues all needed documents and
information to accept group and add new employers to the Benefits Administration System after Senior Analyst approval; research predecessor vesting service as necessary; Verifies first contributions received in correct format and resolves any issues with the bargaining parties
· Research enquiries and performs analysis of Fund information on behalf of employers, union representatives, and Benefit Funds Office leadership; researches and completes draft write-ups and response letters for the Appeals Committee and Board of Trustees; research issues due to Remittance Reports received from Accounting Department and takes any needed action to update the Benefits Administration System or works with Correspondent Specialist to reach out to the bargaining parties
· Follow up with bargaining parties for outstanding information and documents
· Contact bargaining parties as needed to resolve issues (ex: email, phone)
· Updates and maintains the union roster on the Benefits Administration System
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Previous administrative office experience
· Outstanding organizational skills
· Excellent time management skills
· Punctuality and excellent attendance record are essential
· Must be able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and meet deadlines
· Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, but capable of recognizing the need for instruction or direction from Departmental leadership
· Strong customer service orientation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
· Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel with a high degree of accuracy
