Position Summary:
As a Janitor, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. Responsible for ensuring a sanitized and organized environment, your duties will encompass routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. You'll be tasked with disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, and handling waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards.Essential Functions:
Your attention to detail will be instrumental in identifying and reporting maintenance issues, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for team members and visitors. Your role is essential in contributing to the overall maintenance and cleanliness standards that reflect positively on our organization. The following essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, carpets, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies.
- Empty and clean waste containers, segregating recyclable materials, and ensuring proper disposal in designated areas.
- Manage and maintain trash collection points to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and handles to maintain hygiene standards.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, or repairs needed for fixtures, equipment, or facilities to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other consumables as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors, including buffing and waxing when required.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members and supervisors regarding cleaning schedules, tasks, and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and sanitation standards to ensure compliance.
- Assist in gathering and destroying plant and laboratory waste.
- Assist in laundry services, scrub sorting, stacking, etc.

Qualifications Education:
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must consent to a criminal background check.
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of valid auto insurance.
- Strong interpersonal abilities for seamless collaboration across all company levels.
- Reliability is a must.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a heavily regulated environment.
Working Conditions
The employee works in a cultivation environment. The employee may be required to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The position also requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. The employee must be able to work in a fast-faced environment, handling routine and reoccurring tasks.The employee will work in environments that include exposure to, but not limited to dirt, fertilizers, dusts, odors, fumes, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, heights, indoor A/C, no A/C, and other environmental variables.
In this role, the employee will be required to operate a vehicle as an essential aspect of their responsibilities and include regular travel to fulfill job duties. The employee should be comfortable and capable of driving for extended periods, adapting to varied road and weather conditions, and adhering to all relevant safety guidelines. The ability to maintain focus and attentiveness while driving is crucial. The employee is expected to comply with all traffic laws and maintain the vehicle in safe and operational condition.
The position also requires a high level of scheduling flexibility and will occasionally include evening, weekend, and holiday work hours. The employee will encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday and must have a high regard for self-management, time management, and scheduling of activities.

The employee should have the ability to meet the physical demands of lifting, carrying and positioning heavy objects and should be familiar and comfortable using the assistance of push/pull manual transport equipment (ex: pallet jack, hand truck). The employee will often need to use a ladder, with up to a 12’ extension and general hardware tools.
