The Dispensary Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily operations and overall success of the dispensary. This position is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring compliance, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering an outstanding customer experience. The Dispensary Manager leads a team of Assistant Managers, Dispensary Leads, and Dispensary Associates while working closely with district leadership to implement company initiatives.

The Dispensary Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily operations and overall success of the dispensary. Essential Functions:
Driving Business & Sales
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets
- Lead, coach, and develop team members in sales techniques, customer engagement, and product knowledge
- Monitor performance metrics to evaluate and enhance sales effectiveness
- Implement promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase sales
- Optimize product availability, inventory control, and minimize out-of-stocks in collaboration with the Assistant Manager
- Implement strategies to increase average transaction value through cross-selling and upselling
- Develop and manage customer loyalty programs to enhance retention and brand loyalty
- Ensure a best-in-class customer experience through proactive leadership and customer engagement
- Oversee all dispensary operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and compliance with state and local regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting dispensary environment
- Monitor P&L statements and controllable expenses to ensure financial efficiency
- Ensure proper execution of store opening and closing procedures
- Serve as a company brand ambassador and ensure all team members represent the brand appropriately
- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and training efforts to build a high-performing team
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members
- Establish clear performance expectations and goals for the team
- Partner with Human Resources to implement performance management processes and address employee concerns
- Manage scheduling, shift rotations, and team member availability to optimize coverage and efficiency
- Foster an inclusive and positive work culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
- Must be 21 years of age or older (18 in NY)
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree highly preferred
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or sales
- Strong knowledge of state-specific cannabis laws and compliance regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, POS systems, and inventory management software
- Ability to analyze sales data, customer trends, and product performance to drive business improvements
- Experience in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, email marketing, and online advertising, is a plus
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to use a ladder (up to 12’ extension) and general hardware tools
- Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, motion, and noise
