Position: Medical Biller/Collector
Pay Rate: $23.45 per hour (1099 contract)
Location: Irwindale, CA 91706
Shift Timings: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Description:
- Collect and recover payments from patients and insurance companies for delinquent hospital/medical patient accounts.
- Make outbound calls to initiate payment arrangements or resolve delinquent accounts.
- Communicate with payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, to resolve issues and gather additional information for collection.
- Collaborate with customers to find solutions for collecting outstanding payments.
- Ensure accurate and complete billing processes.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in medical billing functions.
Special Qualifications/Certifications Required:
- Knowledge of Professional Billing processes, EPIC software, and multiple payers.
