Position Name: Public Health Preparedness Field Coordinator District 4
Work Location: Indianapolis, IN 46278, Indiana, United States
Pay Rate/Salary: $24.75 Hourly (1099)
Work Schedule: The Field Coordinator is a remote work position but expected to travel across the respective district/state of Indiana approximately 65%-75% of the time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Local Health Departments within District 4 regarding the Division of Emergency Preparedness (DEP).
- Identify preparedness gaps and needs, and communicate them to the Regional Supervisor.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Coalition District (HCC) Coordinators to coordinate local public health and healthcare efforts.
- Track grant deliverables, data collection efforts, and inventory.
- Provide guidance to local partners, ensuring they understand emergency preparedness protocols.
- Emergency preparedness, public health, or public safety experience.
- Experience facilitating meetings and maintaining meeting notes.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to collaborate with public health or public safety program entities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience in grant management.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, but relevant experience can substitute).
- Provide timely reports and ensure local partners understand technical and procedural aspects of emergency preparedness.
- Stay updated on guidance from CDC, ASPR, and ISDH.
