The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in both the care and operational management of the nursing department. Responsibilities include:
- Directing the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure smooth and effective care.
- Assisting in policy and procedure development and execution, aligning nursing practices with organizational standards.
- Ensuring accurate nursing documentation through regular chart audits.
- Participating in discharge planning, resident assessments, and the creation of care plans to tailor care to each resident's needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- RN License
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care facility experience required
