Assists with year-end, testing, and other payroll processing and system related projects as required. Handles garnishment and child support processing.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Handles processing responsibilities for bi-weekly payrollsPerforms bi-weekly payroll reconciliation and balancing activitiesServes as support for research and reconciliation of payroll related GL issuesResearches and resolves HR / Payroll related issuesProvides payroll processing testing support, as neededCreates and maintains documentation for all payroll processesProvides customer service and technical support to HR / Payroll facility primesProvides support for year end and W-2 processingCoordinates special projects as requiredREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS : HR / Payroll technical, multi-state payroll processing, and analytical experiencePrior experience working with Lawson payroll systemPrior experience working with API timekeeping systemGood computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelDetail orientated with good organizational and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentGood training and documentation skillsEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSURE / TECHNICAL / OTHER : Education : College degree (or equivalent experience) Experience (Type & Length) : 3-5 years of HR / Payroll experienceCertification / Licensure : CPP certification preferred Houston's oldest hospital is GROWING Welcome to St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC), Houston's first and only downtown hospital delivering world-class care for the last 137 years and looking forward to the next century of exceptional care to Houstonians when they need us most.
