Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $52,900 – $83,800. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role.

Responsibilities:
- Handles moderate to complex exposure claims relative to Commercial General Liability, Liquor Liability, Completed Operations, Commercial Auto, Construction liability, Construction defect, Garage Keepers Liability, AE&O, EPLI, and Homeowners Liability based on Claim Guidelines, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Presents cases to Sr. Management for reserving and direction, as required by Claim Guidelines
- Verifies/analyzes applicable coverage for the reported loss
- Evaluates, negotiates, and authorizes settlements with all stakeholders within designated authority
- Select, direct and manages Vendors/Counsel including approval of defense budgets
- Maintain resident/nonresident adjuster licenses as required.
- Travel as required to handle catastrophic claims, attend mediations and settlement conferences
- Review/analyze all applicable contracts for contractual obligations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Must-Have:
- HS degree/GED with 2 years of relevant claims experience
- Experience handling commercial claims
- Experience handling bodily injury claims
- Appropriate claims license
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience handling 3rd party claims
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate internally and externally
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.
- Associate/Bachelors degree
- Construction Contractor Liability and Construction Defect experience
- Litigation/Claims handling experience in New York
- Completion of AIC, CPCU, or other similar program
