What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Transformation Analyst position at IAT Insurance Group?
IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Claims Transformation Analyst that can report to any IAT location. The Claims Transformation Analyst partners with the company’s Claims and IT leadership to facilitate the execution of the strategy, development, implementation, governance, and administration of strategic business process and technology transformation.
This resource will work closely with business leaders and IT to establish strategic roadmaps and execution plans that balance the short-term needs and the demand for quick-wins with the progress necessary to achieve the long-term strategic vision for the business and the enterprise.
Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Plans to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future capabilities and systems across the organization.
- Structures and manages the pace of transformation.
- Creates options and trade-off analysis for major project decisions around scope and investment prioritization.
- Serves as an advocate for business needs and priorities within the transformation program.
- Understands and communicates technical and execution trade-offs back to the business.
- Champions the project within the organization and among the senior leadership team.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to project sponsor(s).
- Develops CBAs specifically identifying project benefits and KPIs.
- Translates the organization’s strategic direction and provides day-to-day business direction to the project team.
- Resolves escalated business issues from the team.
- Understands what decisions are within his/her span of control and what decisions must be escalated to project sponsor(s).
- Identifies and orients stakeholders to the project; manages stakeholders and associated expectations throughout the project.
- Accountable to the project sponsor and IT Steering Committee for major decisions and issue escalation.
- Provides and/ or facilitates sign-off on key project deliverables (business requirements, UAT results, etc.).
- Works collaboratively across matrixed organizations and partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet business goals.
- Responsible for providing or facilitating answers to business questions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have:
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
- Equivalent would be 4 years of professional experience
- Minimum of 4 years of claims related experience
- The ideal candidate will have P&C claims transformation (implementation, process improvement, or system upgrade) experience, preference will be given to candidates with experience in two or more of those areas
- Knowledge of insurance claims and related operational processes
- Ability to facilitate the adoption of standardized output from a variety of platforms and sources
- Ability to develop corporate and/or organizational policies and facilitate their implementation
- Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
- Authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes
Preferred to have:
- P&C claims workflow knowledge (Casualty, General Liability, and/or Property)
- Leading, influencing and accomplishing individual goals within a matrix role
- Taking on a liaison or lead role between IT and Claims
- Managing a claims team
- Lean methodology expertise and/or Six Sigma designation

Compensation:
Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $70,400 – $111,500. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
