What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) position at IBA Support Services?
The person functioning as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is responsible for providing direct care and supported living services to adults with Developmental Disabilities (DD), and/or mental illness in their homes.
Hiring for full time, part time or pickups for any shift
This person will enhance the individual’s ability in maintaining a safe, secure, sanitary and healthy environment:
- Provide supervision and guidance to each consumer in accordance with his/her Individual Service Plan.
- Assist each consumer in planning and implementing in-home and community-based activities.
- Act as role models and promote positive lifestyles for each consumer.
- Advocate for the safety and well-being of each consumer to appropriate management personnel.
- Provide physical assistance as needed, including but not limited to, personal care, housekeeping and transportation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid Ohio Driver License with no more than 6 points on driving record.
- No felony convictions as identified and outlined by the Ohio Revised Code.
