Job Summary:
The Foreign Exchange Wire Specialist I is responsible for providing the foreign exchange (FX) wire service to existing and prospective customers while delivering the “IBC Experience”. Duties must be carried out accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This includes assigned duties in accordance with office procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Delivers the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
- Informed of the daily currency exchange market rates.
- Provides exchange rates to customers requesting wires in foreign currency.
- Negotiates exchange rates with customers/prospects.
- Creates FX quotes and initiates wire process through the Wire Transfer application.
- Provide verbal disclosures to customers to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assists Foreign Exchange Traders.
- Other Duties as assigned.
SKILLS
- Strong sales skills.
- Knowledge of major world currencies and their value in relation to the U.S. Dollar.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Able to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and its applications.
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Basic math skills and ability to use calculator functions.
- Analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Team player.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior sales or office work experience a plus.
