Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in consulting or engineering
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Stantec is looking for a Project Controls Coordinator to join our Environmental Services Team. As a key role within the Project Support team, Project Controls Coordinators provide essential financial and administrative support on a portfolio of projects ranging in size. Your Responsibilities
- Preparing and project transaction reports and distributing to the project team
- Tracking and updating opportunities in Stantec’s CRM database.
- Providing support with project budgets and change orders.
- Assisting with review, routing, and execution of client contracts and change orders.
- Completing project setup forms for new projects based on the client contract, budget, and work breakdown structure.
- Reviewing project charges and coordinating corrections with accounting as needed to facilitate timely and accurate client invoicing, as directed by project manager.
- Preparing subcontracts and task orders as requested by the project manager.
- Coding and routing subconsultant invoices for approval, tracking subconsultant budgets.
- Providing various financial and contract-related reporting to project team and clients
- Assisting Project Manager with follow up on past-due invoices as needed.
- Supporting Project Managers and Project Controls Leads with other duties as required.
Your Qualifications and Credentials
- Excellent communication, time-management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients, contractors, and staff at all levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically desired: advanced expertise in MS Excel)
- Experience with ERP and other Financial/Cost systems (Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, ability to learn new programs and concepts quickly.
- Positive attitude with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Solid time management and follow-through skills to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to see the “big picture” and use common sense to make decisions.
