Job Summary
The Manager - Compensation reports to the Director of Compensation and is based in or near our Orange, CT headquarters. The Manager will lead, develop, and oversee a team of compensation professionals.
Major Roles & Responsibilities
- Partner with the talent strategy to build a compensation approach that attracts, develops, engages, and retains a highly skilled and diverse workforce.
- Cultivate effective relationships with P&O business partners, talent acquisition, and people leaders to understand challenges and opportunities.
- Support team members in growing individual skills, knowledge, and interests, and in developing their careers.
- Oversee day-to-day compensation activities such as job evaluations, pay recommendations, promotions, market pricing, data maintenance and corrections, salary surveys, retention and recognition payments, and similar.
- Support operating in a regulated environment, including rate cases, compliance requirements, audit responses, and regulatory filings.
- Administer annual programs in the compensation cycle for both union and non-union employees, such as merit increases, incentive pay, and pay equity studies.
- Deliver training and promote awareness and education on topics ranging from how to use compensation platforms to how to interpret compensation programs.
- Partner with Total Rewards vendors to administer effective compensation programs.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization of compensation programs, policies, and practices.

Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in a relevant role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical skills, comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations, and certification (CCP) preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using enterprise-level people information platforms.
