POSITION - Union : Pipe Fitter B
NUMBER OF POSITIONS : 1
LOCATION : CT - East Hartford - Meadow St
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must pass the Bennett mechanical comprehension test.
- Graduate of high school, trade school, or other formal technical training with experience in the plumbing / pipefitting or HVAC field
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Must have a MVD license and good driving record.
- Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude, with basic skills and experience in cither Distribution or Fitting work
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions and interpret drawings or prints.
- Requires mandatory progression to the bottom of Pipe Fitter A classification within 18 months.
- Requires successful completion of a written test and field observation audit.
- Must be physically able to perform heavy lifting and manual labor duties as required.
DUTIES :
repairing and removing piping, meter connections and service regulators.
NOTE :
This position is a DOT Safety Sensitive Position. Any applicant accepted for this classification would be required to comply with all drug and alcohol regulations. This Position may require passing a Respiratory Fit Test.
