The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from : $83,805 - $104,756
Job Summary
This role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Company's initiatives with respect to grid modernization technologies and clean energy goals that enhance the electric system across the Avangrid Networks operating companies. Support the development and automation of Advanced Planning tools and applications. The ideal candidate will be skilled and motivated, have a technical background in power systems and distribution planning, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation. This position will coordinate with other departments during the tools development and automation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various teams within Avangrid and assist in research related to innovative tools and emerging technologies to assess the relevance and benefit to the Company’s grid modernization and clean energy objectives.
- Assist on the review and evaluation of new tools and solution alternatives through research and benchmarking.
- Proactively identify and perform projects & studies that innovatively solve unique & complex problems with a broad impact to the business.
- Work with other team members and developers to develop new tools from concept to implementation that enhance existing processes or solve challenges for the Company.
- Assist in identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the Planning process.
- Provide technical assistance and consulting to other departments as necessary.
- Work with vendors, contractors and consultants to develop and automate tools and applications.
- Assist in software product design, providing feedback to developers, performing testing of new features, and providing support to end users.
- Responsible for presenting to Upper Management and Executives when necessary.
