IMC is currently hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant,
Inpatient Rehabilitation , who is responsible for effectively interacting with
the patient, significant others and other health team members, while
maintaining standards of professional nursing.
They will also use the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care
based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for
the adult and geriatric population.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles. 1-year previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant
is preferred. High School graduate preferred.
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Previous experience preferred, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates respect for patients and families. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects
of patient care. Identifies patient and family education needs and in
collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the
age of the patients. Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a
professional image of Iberia Medical Center. Consistently lives by the Iberia Medical Center Standards of
Performance. Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential

Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job
should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a
significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but
entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job
requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing
and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is
negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production
rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically
demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
