Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team in Fairfield, OH. The HHA will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
- Document patient care and observations in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
- Valid HHA certification
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
