QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent,
Possession of a valid Louisiana driver's’ license (ability to obtain CDL licensing preferred),
Must be able to drive a forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties.

EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months
PAY GRADE: 18
JOB GOAL: To safely and effectively make timely deliveries on a daily basis to ensure within the district to help maintain daily operations and assist in daily operations of the warehouse.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the Warehouse Manager in unloading delivery trucks, picking stock, storing stock, and other duties that may be required.
- Load truck and safely deliver warehouse goods and other items to school facilities maintaining the daily delivery schedule established by the Supervisor.
- Pick up and deliver mail, audio/visual equipment, science delivers, and other items as may be necessary.
- Interdistrict delivers: delivers paychecks, bank deposits, or other items to designated parties, picks up bulk mail deliveries from buildings and delivers to mailrooms, picks up and delivers interdistrict items too large for mail run and too small for two-man delivery crew.
- Maintain assigned vehicle in an orderly fashion, through preventative maintenance assigned to vehicles and requesting mechanical attention as needed.
- Assist in physical inventories to the extent assigned by the Supervisor.
- Loads, transports and delivers, on a timely basis, all transportation work requests for tables, chairs, stage equipment, athletic equipment, election supplies, textbooks, duplicating supplies and paper, etc. to various schools, shops, and offices.
- Assist in the processing of all UPS packages, shipping, and receiving.
- Proper use and maintenance of hand trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Assist in general cleanliness of the warehouse and grounds of the central office complex.
- Assist Custodial Supervisor in washing and drying maintenance laundry items (dust mops, mop heads, etc.) for schools.
- Assist and/or perform general warehouse duties, as assigned by the Supervisor(s).
- Gathers and removes litter.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by the superintendent and/or evaluator.
PROFESSIONAL ETHICS:

- Reports to job-related injuries within 48 hours of a work accident to the immediate supervisor.
