PLAQUEMINE HIGH SCHOOL (7TH-12TH GRADE CAMPUS)
The school principal will interview for grade-level positions available on campus
QUALIFICATIONS :
Valid Louisiana Teaching certificate
Minimum of 5 documented years of successful teaching and / or Master's degree in a related field
Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties.
REPORTS TO : Principal

EMPLOYMENT : 9 Months
PAY FACTOR : Non-applicable
JOB GOAL : To assist and support the school leadership in providing vision, culture, and instructional leadership that efficiently and effectively results in increased student achievement.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement individual intervention strategies to increase the graduation rate
Work with School Counselor to support the development of the Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) for students
Work with students to determine Graduation Pathways and Diploma Plus Plan
Track the progress of individual students as they progress in online credit recovery / accrual
Participate in the development of partnerships with community organizations to support graduation rate and index goals
Conduct formative and summative evaluations of intervention strategies to increase graduation rate and index
Develop and implement a transition program for 9th graders to successfully adapt to the high school setting
Collaborate with SAT to connect individual students and their parents with programs throughout the community
Implement a mentor / mentee program that will help meet the individual needs of the students
Conduct quarterly meetings to improve communication among parents, students, and the school
Performs any additional duties assigned by the superintendent and / or evaluator.

Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board's Policies
Reports to job-related injuries within 48 hours of work accident to the immediate supervisor.
Accepts and supports school administration decisions.
Practices school rules and policies.
Completes reports, inventories, and paper work as scheduled.
Assumes responsibility for implementation of emergency procedures.
Provides clear and timely information to parents / caregivers and colleagues regarding student progress and student learning.
Encourages parents / caregivers to become active partners in their children's education and to become involved in school.
Seeks and maintains a positive attitude of promoting school and community relations.
Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents and community members.
Attends meetings as directed.
Serves on task force and decision-making committees, when appropriate.
Cooperates with administrators in observation / evaluation / self-evaluation efforts.
Develops and implements an Individual Growth Plan annually.
Keeps abreast of current educational trends through staff development and professional organizations.
