Electrical & Controls Engineer, Entry Level

Required:

• Must work on-site at headquarters in Paul, ID 83347.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Interest in learning PLC and HMI programming.
• Be able to read, understand, and create electrical schematics.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. 
• Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

• Experience with PLC and HMI programming or other programming languages.
• Basic Electrical CAD skills (Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar).
• Knowledge of AC power concepts, including single and three-phase circuit design. 
• Understanding of motor control systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Familiarity with process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Basic understanding of physical process concepts (e.g., flow, temperature, pressure, level, and density).

• Starting Pay: $32/hr – $38/hr.

• Work on-site at headquarters in Paul, ID 83347 and at job sites across Idaho’s Magic Valley.
• Engineer industrial automation and control systems for applications such as food processing factories and automated dairies.
• Program automation controllers (PLCs), touch-screen interfaces (HMIs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Create power distribution and motor control designs in compliance with UL508A standards.
• Draft electrical schematics, bills of materials, and signal lists based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Specify, install and configure sensors.
• Support and assist electrical equipment assembly, installation and commissioning.
• Communicate effectively with customer staff to troubleshoot issues and coordinate timelines.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical and controls engineers with 30 years combined industrial automation experience.
