Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is seeking a highly motivated software developer to join the dynamic and innovative IBM AI on Z team. This team is responsible for expanding the support of AI efforts on the Z platform. As a member of this team, you will develop solutions to better realize the potential of the IBM Telum series of on-chip hardware accelerators and the Spyre AI accelerator for a growing range of computational workloads, ranging from deep learning, scientific computation, and financial transactions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and utilizing AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow in enterprise level applications.
- Working with IBM's research team to develop next generation solutions for IBM's Telum series of on-chip hardware accelerators and the Spyre AI accelerator.
- Collaborating closely with teams developing other components of the AI solution to ensure robustness, high-quality code generation, and suitability for developing programs exploiting compiled models as shared libraries used in deep learning and safety-critical execution environments on IBM Z platform.
- Providing engineering support for the AI on Z solution and delivering targeted changes for production customer releases.
- Establishing strong customer / partner relationships and trust through excellent execution and high-quality software development.
- Working with the open-source community to drive and deliver code contributions to lead IBM efforts in AI development.
