IBM is proposing to modernize a Grants Award system. IBM’s solution will leverage the latest technologies to improve the program’s effectiveness and provide users with an excellent interaction experience. This will be incrementally developed and include enhanced management reporting, training, and end-user support. The work will entail collaborating with a large project team on (1) discovery and requirements gathering, (2) data lineage and governance efforts, and (3) business intelligence development in the form of reports and dashboards.

Job responsibilities include:
• Creating and developing actionable interactive reports and dashboards using statistical and business intelligence tools such as AWS Quicksight, PowerBI
• Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify areas for improvement and generate insights into products and services
• Consulting with stakeholders using human centered design approaches to understand the need for data products and to identify a potential solution.
• Translating customer requirements for data products (datasets, reports, dashboards) into data solutions; creating calculated measures, columns, relationships, etc
• Analyzing source systems and designing new data structures for high-volume, complex data.
• Accessing, transforming, cleansing, and testing data products using programming languages such as M, DAX, Python, R, and SQL.
• Designing data visualization strategies that make large or complex datasets more understandable, accessible, and usable.
• Developing wireframes or prototypes of potential user experiences to share with stakeholder to collect feedback.
• Communicating (orally and in written form) analytical results displayed through data visualizations to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Conducting user-centered research to better understand ED user behavior and needs related to data products.
• Translating customer requirements for report and dashboards into a prioritized backlog of features and user stories.
• Developing wireframes or prototypes of potential data visualizations to share with stakeholder groups to collect feedback.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Several years of experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, AWS quicksight) to develop interactive data visualizations (e.g. charts, graphs).
• A few years of experience using M and DAX languages to build Power BI models and using programming languages (e.g. Python, R) to structure and analyze data.
• Knowledge of data architecture and modelling, including relational databases.
• Experience working in an Agile environment – working as a part of teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Preferred Active Agile certification (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Developer, Certified Agile Leadership, Certified Agile Coach, Scrum with Kanban, SAFe Agile).
• Preferred Power Platform Certifications
