Delivery Consultant Intern – Technology Expert Labs – Infrastructure

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Delivery Consultant Intern, you will work closely with a Delivery Consultant coach to deliver industry-leading solutions to IBM clients. In this role, you will learn and experience how we apply technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery using consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, you will be client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

• Understanding clients' main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through the phases of design, development integration, implementation, migration and product support with a sense of urgency.
• Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
• Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Registered undergraduate university student (rising Junior or rising Senior)
• B.S. in M.I.S., Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering.
• Hands-on exposure to real-world application of computer science, information systems, or engineering concepts
• Understanding and experience with at least one programming language, (e.g. Python, Java, C/C )
• Excellent communication and presentation skills that are engaging, compelling, and influential.
• Self-starter, ability to learn both independently and with the support of a team.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail, precision, and time management
• Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.
• Demonstrate a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
• Exposure to infrastructure/system design, availability, security, performance optimization, database design or application modernization.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and methods e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform
Experience with IBM Power Systems operating environments (IBMi, AIX, Linux) is a plus.
