Your Role And Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
• Client Interaction:
• Engage with business stakeholders (such as finance managers, CFOs, accountants) to understand their financial processes, requirements, and pain points.
• Business Process Mapping:
• Analyze existing financial processes and map them to the corresponding SAP functionality.
• Define the scope of the SAP solution based on client needs and business requirements.
• Gap Analysis:
• Conduct gap analysis between current practices and the SAP system, and recommend improvements.
• SAP Configuration and Implementation:
• Configuration of SAP FI/CO Modules:
• Set up SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules according to business needs, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis.
• SAP Integration:
• Integrate SAP FI/CO with other modules such as SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
• Tax Configuration:
• Configure taxes in SAP (e.g., VAT, Sales Tax) based on country-specific requirements.
• Data Migration:
• Assist in the migration of legacy financial data into the SAP system, ensuring data integrity and correctness.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Test Planning and Execution:
• Prepare and execute functional tests to validate that the system configuration meets business requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues during testing.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
• Support business users during UAT by providing guidance and resolving issues as they arise.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues encountered during testing or in live environments.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer:
• End-User Training:
• Train end users on SAP finance processes, covering areas such as financial transactions, reporting, and system navigation.
• Provide detailed user manuals and training documentation to assist users in their daily operations.
• Knowledge Transfer:
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams or other consultants, ensuring they are familiar with the SAP financial configurations and processes.
• System Support and Optimization:
• Ongoing Support:
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the SAP system in the live environment.
• System Monitoring:
• Continuously monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Recommend and implement system improvements and enhancements to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Financial Reporting and Analytics:
• SAP Reporting Tools:
• Configure and generate financial reports using SAP tools like SAP Fiori, SAP BW, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Financial Data Analysis:
• Analyze financial data, prepare customized reports, and provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
• Ensure that the SAP system supports accurate financial reporting in line with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Project Management:
• Project Planning and Execution:
• Participate in project planning and execution by defining timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Collaboration with Other Teams:
• Collaborate with other SAP consultants, project managers, and technical teams to ensure a successful project delivery.
• Status Reporting:
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and timelines.
• Risk Management:
• Identify risks and assist in mitigating project delays or issues that may arise during the implementation.
• System Maintenance and Upgrades:
• System Updates and Patches:
• Assist in the maintenance of SAP systems, including applying patches, updates, or upgrades to ensure the system stays up to date with the latest features and security updates.
• Enhancement Requests:
• Review user feedback and business requirements to propose system enhancements or modifications, especially during SAP upgrade cycles or when implementing SAP S/4HANA.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders:
• Liaison with Functional and Technical Teams:
• Act as the bridge between functional users and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are correctly translated into system functionality.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed about progress and potential challenges.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• System Documentation:
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of the SAP configuration, processes, and solutions.
• Compliance and Audit Documentation:
• Prepare documentation to meet compliance and audit requirements, ensuring transparency and traceability in the SAP configuration.

• Staying Updated on SAP Changes:
• Continuously upgrade knowledge regarding new SAP features, updates, and best practices, particularly regarding SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other SAP consultants (e.g., MM, SD, PP) to ensure end-to-end integration of business processes.
• Troubleshoot SAP Issues:
• Provide timely resolution to SAP finance-related issues and work with technical teams when necessary.

Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment and settlement.)

• Should be able to analyze the complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions to the business.
• Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary.
• Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions and propose the solutions.
• Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting, investigate, analyse, and solve SAP FICO-related business issues.
• Document functional designs.
• Support the various interfaces to FI Module, Ex. Blackline, OneStream, Banks , Vertex etc.
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Strong expertise in SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) configuration.
• In-depth understanding of financial accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze complex financial requirements and map them to SAP solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot SAP issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage client expectations.
