Your Role And Responsibilities
- Manage deployments of Apptio services to the GovCloud.
- Streamline the deployment process.
- Monitor KPIs of services running in the GovCloud.
- Improve observability of the services within your purview by reviewing KPI dashboards and alerting.
- Author and maintain documentation of deployment and monitoring processes.
- Use runbooks to troubleshoot and triage production issues.
- Detect issues and handle level-1 troubleshooting.
- Serve as “remote hands” for level-2 or 3 issue resolution.
- Escalate to the appropriate product team.
- Collaborate with service developers to update the runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Perform maintenance of the platform (patching, resets, upgrades, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Experience with distributed Linux/Unix environment
- Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Familiarity with RESTful systems and their APIs
- Familiarity with cloud provider services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with observability (e.g., Prometheus)
