Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field or equivalent experience
Clearance : Must be able to obtain DoD CAC
Work Authorization : Must be a United States Citizen
Key Skills :
- Must have GIS software and database experience such as QGIS, ArcGIS, PostGIS, ESRI or other geospatial tool set
- Full stack development to include Python 3 (including Flask), React JavaScript, Shell scripting, Postgres SQL, Web services, and Database development
- Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CI / CD) techniques, test-driven development, and automated testing practices.
Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing the feature functionality of the product, using full stack development where possible.Maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, with duties to write and update software code under contract and direction from the assigned Government Product Owner.Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.Recommends improvements to existing software applications as necessary.Individual shall be capable of performing the software tasks identified in the contract requirements in forming and working on the integrated product team.Qualifications
Individual must have domain knowledge and hands-on experience in developing, implementing software programs3 years’ experience in full stack development to include Python 3 (including Flask), React JavaScript, PostSQL, Shell Script, Web services, and Database development.3 years’ experience with Agile and lean philosophies.1 year paired programming experience on Agile team.Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CI / CD) techniques, test-driven development, and automated testing practices.Experience managing Big Data in a cloud environmentExperience with data science libraries such as Pandas, Apache Spark, or SciPy.Use of and development with at least one common geospatial tools dataset, and operating platform. These may include, but are not limited to :Tools - Boundless Spatial suite, Remote View, PostgreSQL, and / or other geospatial databases, QGIS, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Image Server, and File Geodatabases.
Data formats including GDB, SHP, GEOJSON, and similar geo-related formats.Operating Platforms – ESRI, OpenGeo Suite, or similar.Proprietary tool languages such as ArcPy.Development of customized code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, and libraries to implement specialized spatial functions using Python 3 and SQL.Query and management skills with geospatial and non-geospatial PostgreSQL, PostGIS and SQL databases.Demonstrated experience with configuration and use of DevOps tools to maintain a functioning build pipeline, and experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and YAML files.Demonstrated experience with Git and Git workflows to manage team software development.Demonstrated experience with Docker software containerization and workflows.Basic experience and familiarity with GIS software with experience in vector data, coordinating projections (ie. geographic and geometric projections), and topological comparisons (ie. intersection, contain, overlap)Experience utilizing, creating, and analyzing GIS data.Clear communication skills are requiredAbout IBR
