We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting our attorneys with case management, document preparation, and trial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case management, legal research, and document preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Conduct legal research and summarize case law, statutes, and legal documents.
- Prepare and organize exhibits, documents, and evidence for trials and hearings.
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial binders and scheduling witness interviews.
- File legal documents with courts and manage court deadlines and calendaring.
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery materials.
- Handle administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, and data entry related to litigation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
- 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of the litigation process and court procedures in New Jersey.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and legal software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
