Data Modeler
Onsite - Boston, MA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models across platforms, including RDBMS, AWS Redshift, ODS, data marts, and data lakes (SQL/NoSQL).
- Oversee data architecture expansion and optimize query performance using best practices, working both independently and collaboratively.
- Translate business and IT requirements into data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics, machine learning).
- Collaborate with business and application teams to implement data strategies, data flows, and conceptual/logical/physical models.
- Define and enforce data modelling standards, best practices, and tools for enterprise data models.
- Identify infrastructure, interfaces, and tools for automated data loads, security, analytics, and data visualization.
- Perform hands-on modelling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and sandbox proof-of-concept (POC) projects.
- Address project requirements proactively, manage risks, and communicate challenges to reduce project delivery delays.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in defining entities, attributes, relationships, mappings, and integrity rules using standard naming conventions.
- Knowledge of life and annuity insurance domains.
- Ability to assist business analysts and developers in understanding and applying data models for efficient data organization and access.
