Position Title : Senior Engineering Consultant
Position Description : IBS Software Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Consultant to be responsible for design, development and implementation of product applications. S / he will perform the following duties : The Senior Engineering Consultant will research available open-source tools and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions to application systems; Will create technical and functional documents and provide sign off; prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate logical sequence, translate logic diagrams into program statements using Java / J2EE Components and design logical database modeler; Manage the physical structure and packaging of the iCargo product providing daily updates to the delivery manager on progress; Engage in business solutioning, design, and verification by evaluating customers’ AS-IS business processes, providing directions and ideas for addressing inefficiencies through iCargo capabilities. The position is based in Atlanta, GA.
Position Qualifications : This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field with a minimum 5 years of experience in software or product development, or a related field. Alternatively, the employer will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in software or product development, or a related field. Additionally, a qualified applicant’s experience must include the following skills : 1) Performed implementation of software product for one or more customers; 2) Proficiency in software languages like Java, React, micro services, JSON and SQL query; 3) Production support including content, tools, and self-help experiences that is designed to teach and support users on how your product works, resolve their issues when they arise, and turn their feedback into new features or product improvements; 4) Experience serving as Senior Engineering Consultant throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance; 5) Experience in development of distributed / scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications; 6) Experience in OOPS Concept, Java and J2EE application architecture, JVM and memory management, interfaces APIs including JMS, JDBC, web frameworks like struts, spring, service-oriented architecture like SOAP / REST and 7) Led Project Engineering efforts using Microsoft Project that improved efficiencies by 35%.
