Description:
IBSS is hiring an Azure Engineer to work in an enterprise hybrid (on-prem & cloud) Windows environment. This position supports the physical server reduction initiative of the OCIO of a Federal government agency. The primary focus of the role is highly skilled provisioning of systems in Azure. The schedule is normal business hours: 3 days on-site and offers 2 days remote work per week. AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate and an active SECRET security clearance are required.

Responsibilities:
- Provision systems in Azure and deploy Microsoft stack based applications onto the cloud infrastructure.
- Work with DevOps Engineers, Application Owners and infrastructure support teams to migrate applications from physical servers to Azure cloud.
- Deployment, Configuration and Administration of Azure cloud, VMware vSphere 6.5/7.0., Azure Active Directory, O365, SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
- Ensure proper governance policies and procedures are established and followed to allow for consistent and clean Azure rollouts
- Patch deployment management, automation & troubleshooting (using SCCM, WSUS, MECM. Experience with Update Management Center or Azure patch management is a plus)
- Create scripts to automate certain functions on Azure. Research and recommend innovative automated approaches for administration tasks.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting applications on physical Windows servers as needed
- Troubleshooting, identifying & isolating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Respond to application-related issues, resolving on-the-spot problems (when possible), replicating the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and preparing technical documentation accurately depicting the problem and/or solution
- US Citizen with active Secret Security Clearance
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate - AZ-104
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related is a plus.
- 5 years of Windows Server Engineering in an enterprise environment.
- 3 years of experience working on Azure Cloud. Ability to fully provision systems in Azure - including virtual machines and resources, configurations and application deployments.
- Ability to quickly understand the organizational structure of the agency and facilitate work with different teams, both internal and external.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, .NET, Java, Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience with Azure Log Analytics and Azure Patch Management
