Position Description:
The Business Development Representative reports to the Head of Business Development and plays a key role in the execution of the partner strategy for iBusiness Funding’s technology and services ecosystem. We are looking for a highly driven individual to develop new executive relationships, identify unique challenges, and secure new opportunities with financial service providers. This role combines prospecting, consulting, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Work closely with the Head of Business Development and Enterprise Account Executives to expand our footprint.
- Logo Hunting and Selling to Banks and Financial Institutions
- Drive business development efforts through research, outreach, calling, and emailing.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of target accounts and plan a strategic approach.
- Engage with key decision-makers and senior leaders to uncover business pain points.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, effectively articulating the value of iBusiness Funding’s solutions.
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to identify new prospects and build relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Legal, to ensure alignment on partner strategy.
Education and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in sales, business development, and/or strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to engage in a consultative sales process, effectively navigating regulatory requirements, risk assessment, stakeholder alignment, and long sales cycles.
- Sales experience in technology SaaS or financial services preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to generate new and innovative approaches to problems.
- Experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers at financial institutions.
- Creative, strategic, analytical, and outside-of-the-box problem solver
- Experience with in-person conference networking and marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
