Role Overview:
As the Director of UX, you will lead the charge in designing, managing, and enhancing the user experience across our platform. You will blend hands-on design work with leadership, guiding a talented team of designers while collaborating closely with product managers and engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the UX vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
- Hands-On Design: Actively contribute to design work, from ideation to execution, utilizing tools like Figma or similar platforms.
- Team Management: Mentor, guide, and provide actionable feedback to a team of UX/UI designers to ensure high-quality output and professional growth.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to align UX initiatives with product development cycles.
- Process Development: Establish and optimize design processes and workflows that enhance efficiency and collaboration in an agile environment.
- User Research: Lead user research initiatives to gather insights, validate designs, and inform product decisions.
- Design Quality: Ensure consistent delivery of visually compelling, user-centered designs that drive engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8 years in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience with SaaS platforms.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and fast-paced product development environments.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and mentoring design teams, fostering creativity, and delivering results.
- Collaboration: Adept at working closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate business goals into user-focused solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employee will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight. Employee will need to be able to remain seated at a desk for 8-9 hours in a typical workday.
