Position Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced SBA Lending as a Service Manager to join our team!
The SBA Lending as a Service Manager will be working with our Manager of Lending as a Service and is responsible for assisting in the onboarding and the development of our LaaS Clients. As the SBA Lending as a Service Manager, you will integrate new LaaS clients into the underwriting, processing, closing and servicing platform. You will be responsible for orientating lenders as to the SBA SOP 50 10 7 and SBA SOP 50 57 3 and manage loan volume through the LenderAI Loan Operating System platform.
As a Client’s SBA Subject Matter Expert, you will join sales presentations and new client orientation presentations, and answer SBA related questions. You will be your clients go-to person for all SOP, structuring, and compliance related questions.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Serve as LaaS “Subject Matter Expert” on the SBA SOP 50 10 7, SBA SOP 50 56 1 and SBA SOP 50 57 3
- Responsible for assisting in the development of the LaaS support team
- Assist clients in the development of an SBA Business Plan
- Review Client Loan Policy and make recommendations to clients as to changes
- Serve as a client resource for consultative support
- Responsible for coordinating workflow with internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a client point of contact and resource for the following processes:
- SBA Eligibility Determination and Loan Structure
- SBA Underwriting and Credit Memo preparation
- SBA Processing & Submission to LGPC
- Closing and interaction with closing attorneys
- Servicing & Cash & Portfolio Management
- Internal Controls and External SBA Loan Review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 10 years of SBA Underwriting, Closing, Servicing and workout experience.
- Experience in working remotely with multi-functional and multi-location teams.
- Extensive software experience with MS-Office 365 and Excel software.
- Must be a team player and be able to effectively interact with staff at all levels of the firm.
- Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client skills and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with customers via phone, email and video conferencing.
- Ability to manage several concurrent tasks and priorities on the fly maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
