Dedicated Upper School Principal needed at IC Imagine Charter School in Asheville, NC.
The Upper School Principal will work in coordination with the Head of School in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum, and activities in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.
Salary based on IC Imagine’s Certified/ Licensed Teachers Salary Schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Grows a school culture to fulfil the school’s vision and mission
- Provide teacher feedback and observations informally and formally via NCEES
- Address discipline issues with an integration of restorative practices
- Participate in Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Provide instructional support and curriculum feedback
- Address parent concerns and feedback
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings
- Communicate with stakeholders and community members
- Participate in Guiding Coalition (School Improvement Team)
- Schedule and lead attendance meetings
- Participate in meetings and implement MTSS structures
- Develop duty schedule for faculty members
- Event planning and participation in development activities
- Support substitute teachers in carrying out their duties
- Preparation and implementation of safety and emergency response protocols
- Maintain positive faculty culture
- Hiring of licensed and non-licensed staff
- Collaborate with other administrators, school leaders, school staff and the IC Imagine community to enhance the educational opportunities for all students.
- Follow all school policies
- Respond to emails in a timely manner and correspond regularly with administrative services staff, executive director and others as needed.
- Perform additional duties including, but not limited to supervision during non-instructional time, attending after school events and meetings, participating in enrollment activities leading into and during the Open Enrollment period.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical requirements of the education profession and set an example for others to do the same.

Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in School Administration or Current Enrollment in Master Degree Program in School Administration Required
- Valid NC license in Administration, preferred
- Restorative Discipline Experience Preferred
- Valid NC Teaching License Required
- At least 3-5 years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move safely and quickly over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Ability to move safely and quickly throughout the school building and campus, including walking up stairs.
- Ability to safely and properly restrain juveniles
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, squatting, reaching and bending
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
