The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown Hotel is located in the Wilshire Grand building, standing 73 stories tall in the core of Downtown’s historic, entertainment, financial, arts, and sports districts. Ideally placed at the heart of the revitalized, energy-charged urban center of the United States’ second-largest city, the hotel provides first-class hospitality that seamlessly intertwines with the fabric of the burgeoning Downtown area.
Your Day to Day
As Human Resources Manager, you will support and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the Human Resources department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources in the preparation and implementation of the hotels’ human resources plan including manpower plan, benefits and payroll budget, training and induction plans in line with needs and host engagement initiatives.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Benefits administration
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
What We Need from You
- Hotel experience is a plus. Union experience preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in a human resources management role or development within human resources positions.
- Strong knowledge of employer law and human resources practices.
- Must speak English. Other languages preferred.
What We Offer
The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000 annually. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown in Los Angeles, California. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
