Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant with Dr. Leslee Shaw and Fay Lin at the Blavatnik Women’s Health Research Institute. The position focuses on clinical research in cardiovascular disease related to women's health using cardiovascular imaging. The Postdoctoral Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting advanced biomedical research and data analysis. The role also includes preparing research findings for publication, collaborating with a multidisciplinary research team, and presenting results at scientific conferences. In addition, the candidate will be expected to contribute to grant writing and engage in intellectual exchange with faculty and peers.
Qualifications
- Strong Research and Laboratory Skills
- Proficient in Data Analysis and possessing excellent Analytical Skills
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- M.D. or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline is required
- Experience in Cardiovascular Disease (Clinical or Epidemiology Background) is Preferred
- Experience in Biostatistics is Preferred (R, SPSS)
- Experience in Cardiovascular Imaging is Preferred: Cardiac CT; Cardiac Positron Emission Tomography; Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging; or Coronary Angiography
- Experience in Image Processing/BioInformatics/Histopathology Software Optional: DICOM; Medis; 3D Slicer; QuPath; ITK/PyDICOM
