The Requirements Management Analyst plays a critical role in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing project and system requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and testers to ensure all functional and technical requirements are clearly defined, tracked, and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities involve analyzing propositions for strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risk, as well as collaborating with the Product Owners to define product requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to elicit and document requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
- Maintain a requirements traceability matrix (RTM) to track requirements from inception to completion.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes in requirements.
- Support Agile teams in defining and prioritizing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure requirements are testable and align with test cases.
- Manage requirements documentation using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, or RequisitePro.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational best practices.
- Facilitate change control processes for requirement updates and modifications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience on requirement management. Strong expertise in requirements management, and creation of specification driven user stories.
- Experience with digital and web services requirements management, particularly involving open source, cloud technologies, and agile methodologies.
- Must possess attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex information.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (JIRA, DOORS, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with process modeling tools (BPMN, Visio, UML, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
- Experience working with federal agencies or government contracts.
Employment Type:
- Full Time, Hybrid – Must be able to report on-site at client’s location, as required.
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Active MBI Clearance preferred.
- US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident required.
