Job Summary:
The Contractual Compliance Analyst (Analyst) is responsible for conducting in-depth investigations and enforcement actions related to the Registrar Accreditation Agreement, Registry Agreements, and ICANN Consensus Policies.
This role demands specialized knowledge in the Domain Name System (DNS) and internet governance, combining an understanding of the technical operation of the DNS with the ability to interpret and apply complex policies and agreements unique to the DNS and ICANN. It also requires awareness of the impact of different laws, regulations, business models, and other considerations on the various actors within the DNS ecosystem. The Analyst supports outreach and educational activities with various ICANN community members worldwide. The proper execution of the Analyst’s daily tasks influences the public reporting through which Contractual Compliance demonstrates the fulfillment of its mission to enforce the agreements and policies meant to preserve the stability, resilience, and security of the DNS.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Review and validate complaint types, and conduct compliance investigations related to ICANN policies and agreements.
- Support monitoring, outreach, and enforcement activities.
- Track and document compliance trending and share takeaways with and provide recommendations to more senior staff.
- Recommend tools, documentation, and process improvements to more senior staff.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience (data analysis, complaint handling, contracts management, or compliance-related experience) or 4 years of highly relevant experience.
- Prior experience working for an international organization preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
