Job Summary:
The Senior Product Manager 2 will serve as an interface to Identifier Research, Operations, and Security (IROS) business users and will develop, support, and launch services by generating requirements, determining specifications, guiding development teams and/or vendors in understanding and implementing business process workflows and data requirements, and producing launch plans for service introduction.
This role will facilitate project delivery by ensuring proper requirement analysis with cross-functional groups, project stakeholders, other analysts, customers, or end users.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage product roadmaps for Identifier Research, Operations, and Security (IROS), including upgrading existing technology and systems.
- Work with internal business owners to define features and manage the roadmap.
- Gather and document complex business requirements, including detailed functional and data specifications, process flows, use cases, triggers, integration points, and other information needs while identifying opportunities for refinement and automation.
- Successfully guide products from conception to launch and manage ongoing operations.
- Manage steering committees, advisory, or working groups for the product portfolio.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT Ops, and external vendors to implement and deploy products, including in-house legacy applications.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams with 8-10 members.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to clarify requirements that provide direction to developers/configurators.
- Translate business requirements into product roadmaps, including prioritization, scoping, sizing, and regularly assess the product backlog of assigned systems.
- Write user stories, create test scenarios, and facilitate business UAT efforts.
- Participate in, contribute to, and conduct daily standup and sprint review meetings as part of ICANN’s Agile/Scrum process.
- Ensure delivered requirements and training meet the needs of customers and end users.
- Manage/perform platform administration, reporting, and processes for in-house developed legacy applications.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a relevant field of study.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management in a related industry.
- Prior international experience preferred in managing global process and systems initiatives.
- Strong experience with gathering requirements and writing user stories for complex, multi-phased business application development efforts using Agile/Scrum Methodology.
- Experience with business process design, leading workshops, data modeling, and reengineering.
- Specialized Training in:
- Agile/Scrum
- Business/Technical Analysis/Data and Process Modeling
- Certifications:
- Product Management Certification or equivalent.
- Scrum Master Certification or equivalent.
- PMP and/or equivalent project management certification, preferred.
- Languages:
- Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time, or as needed.
- Ability to travel without restrictions globally, frequently with limited notice is required.

- Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
