Description
With moderate supervision, perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and administrative functions.
Essential Functions
Match Accounts Payable checks to supporting documentation; investigate discrepancies, and distributes checks in accordance with department procedures and timeframes
Audit accuracy of Accounts Payable processing, ensuring signature authorization policy was followed, GL coding was keyed accurately, and proper support was obtained
Identify, communicate, and record processing errors and discrepancies.
Provide guidance regarding processing procedures to avoid future errors and discrepancies
Ensure receipts are received and matched to credit card transactions and employee cash reimbursements in accordance with IRS regulations
Support the Bookkeeping unit by performing data entry into banking applications, pulling check copies, loading bank CDs into the system, and running macros for bank reconciliations
Maintain department records/files to ensure accurate record keeping, security and confidentiality of files
Maintain calendar(s), schedule meetings and appointments, arrange travel accommodations as needed
Perform other administrative tasks, including distributing mail, faxing, filing, answer phones and word processing
Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
One to two years experience in an office or accounting environment
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet tight (daily) deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetic computations accurately
Proficient with Microsoft Word
General knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to key both alpha and numeric (5,000 ksph)
Ability to type 30 wpm
Clean credit history as reported by credit check

The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
